One on one tutoring

is a great way to develop writing skills and to boost confidence. Although I have done many 3-hour tutoring sessions when a student waits until the last day to write an assignment, I recommend scheduling one session of prewriting and discussion at the start of the assignment, followed by an additional session when the writer has produced a draft.

SAT and AP eSSAY pREP

Writing an essay under normal circumstances is difficult, but writing with a clock ticking in a timed-test environment produces a level of stress that is difficult to control. I can work with you on your writing while providing writing strategies that make timed essays much easier and less stressful.

Colleges get thousands of applications and nothing can catch the attention of the admissions officials more than a great letter of application! I’ll work with you to produce a stunning document that will wow, and possibly give your application a little help in getting to the “IN” pile!

Writing Group for adult writers- $35 per session (approx. 2 hours). 4 sessions per month available.

Meeting together on Zoom in a group of five, writing groups allow students to talk about their essay assignments or creative writing projects, and to garner ideas from their group members at any stage of the writing process. Whether you need help getting started writing (often the most difficult part of the task!), or need input as to the effectivness of your work, writing groups provide a safe space for students to experiment and grow as writers.
